reading the threads about the Hot August Blues Festival, this can be our Cold November Blues Festival

Did the Aynsley Lister forum people negotiate a group rate for a hotel? I seem to remember there was some discussion about it.
I offered to try but need an idea of the amount of rooms. Do you reckon we could get 10 together. Our online business is scorching at the moment so I am in all day to ring around. Although someone did recommend a hotel that seemed very reasonable anyway.
Would be good to book something sooner rather than later. If you get a few folks booking rooms around that same date the price will go up.

Sounds like we should be able to get at least 10 people to go, maybe a few more if you include wives, husbands etc. Like the Joe suggestion Ian!

Funny you should say that, Ian. I made a badge for Joe when I made the prototypes I gave to Michael and Geoff earlier in the year. I think I had it with me at Cocoon but didn't have the nerve to give it to Joe. After all, he didn't need an ID badge.

[It would appear that 10 rooms does not amount to a quantity booking. I have sent a few inquiries, most have not bothered replying. For those on a tight budget the travel lodge is around £29 but no breakfast. There was a recommendation on this thread for http://www.thelansdowne.co.uk it is very close to the venue and the rates are resonable. They were also very quick to respond. I don't see a bar though. So might be a few tinnies in the room

Just an update, I have got a room at the Lansdowne ( www.thelansdowne.co.uk) and there are not many left for the Saturday night and the Travel lodge is now showing limited accommodation.........get in quick !

I just booked an extra room for some friends at the TL and the price has gone up! which always happens when they have just a few left.

Well, I've just booked my ticket and a room at the Travelodge for the "Cold November Blues Festival" ( © Greenose ). Thanks for all the hotel info Martin.
Couldn't let my Cocoon/RAH buddies have all the fun without me could I? Looking forward to meeting new faces too. The band list sounds fantastic - should be a blast.
