Topic: Fender 1957 Twin Tweed Amp

Hey all my fellow gearheads and JOE...

Has anyone ever used a Fender 57 twin tweed amp before?  what do you think of it?  What are its pros and cons?  I am thinking about adding one to my gear...

Re: Fender 1957 Twin Tweed Amp

Isn't that the amp that Clapton uses most of the time?  I think I remember an article reviewing Clapton's rig and he had a wah, overdrive, 2 tweed Twins, and a Leslie cabinet.  If you had the "woman tone" in mind then I think you'll be happy.  I wanna say that Keith Richards is a big fan of the old Tweed Twins as well.  Are you talking about a Fender Reissue, vintage, or like a Victoria clone?  They are all big money, no matter how you cut it! wink

Re: Fender 1957 Twin Tweed Amp

no other thoughts on this amp?

would it be too loud for small to mid size venues...up to 200 people?

premier guitar mag likes the amp but for larger venues....

still don't know what to do about my amp situation....
