Topic: All Solid Wood "Rock Amp" made in Pomona Ca in the 70's?
Last Saturday doing some yard sales locally I found a really neat all wood amp that weighs around 20-25 lbs.
Called a "Rock Amp" says Petros 1 made in Pomona Ca on the back side.it also came with the original wood foot switch that
turns on & off the built in distortion. Also has speaker out, treble,bass,volume-on/off and some sort of strange waveform knob-
which I think makes the output from a sine to a square wave?
I'd say the overall shape is a 9 out 10,a few minor dings that could easily be refinshed...but it actaully looked so much better
after I used some real lemon oil on it.
So I am looking for any info on this thing...when it was made...seems there is nothing out there on this company.
Can anyone help me out, does any one remember these amps? I think they were made in the 70's?
I am almost tempted to build a small class A tube amp and mount it in this thing...:)
Thx, Don
.
p/s in another yard sale I found an Ashly 1/3 octave EQ as well.....for a whopping 7 dollars.........:)
