Cathy where did you see that about June 1  on the tickets? Do you know how much they will go up?
thnx

Yes it can be construed as a reverse weather prediction, of course I hope for sunny weather, but I meant it as regarding the show lineup as you know they've all got to bring it (heh heh wait'll Joe brings it)!  All that said, it is not beyond the realm of possibilities for a summer deluge-REMEMBER WOODSTOCK.  I don't want all the bubbly joy to get wet, so I am giving sound off advice to plan accordingly is all.

Count me and Kendi in for Hot August Blues as a definite....and for Bonnie on the lawn as a maybe.

Can we set up a Bonabuddy jam session with PA, drums and bass?  Maybe Friday night?  I'd love to hear one of the JBLPs through Spider's 2555 clone <hint, hint>

CarljMD

Sorry but I don't have a 2555 clone. Never have.

Regardless I'll be at HAB!

My bad.....I meant whatever Ceriatone amp you recently acquired....Overtone Special is it?

If worse comes to worst there's a hitman from Milwaukee who could kneecap him for ya... (or strangle him with a Gibson LP neck tie) cool So what's wrong with crashing in the dude's quarters anyhow? I assume there will be less snoring among the ladies...

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

I've been told that Cathy also has a cabin out on an island somewhere on her property too but I'm going for a spot on the floor in the house somewhere near the A/C unit. But if you want space you can sleep ouside with the skeeters. bzzzzzzzzz!

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

Joe,

What about a jam session with you,Derek & Davy. That would blow the crowds mind!!!

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

Let me just clarify the situation a bit before we get completely out of control here. big_smile

Although Cathy has a large house, in simple logistical terms, the number of actual "beds" available are pretty limited. There are at least two couches, and any number of ways in which floor space could be created to accommodate say, another 10. Bringing sleeping bags and/or blankets would be a good idea, if possible.

In addition, there is, of course, the deck. big_smile - which could easily accommodate 20 people or more lying in neat rows. big_smile

There are huge green areas around the house where one might conceivably pitch a tent, if one had one. wink

Further, there is the possibility that some neighbors down the hill will be on holiday and may let Cathy use their place as a 'guest house'. I'm sure Cathy will inform about this just as soon as she knows.

I was beginning to worry that some of y'all thought that Cathy had some kind of huge bunk house available. big_smile

But you know what they say - where there's a will there's a way. wink

Dave pack a air mattress. I'm bringing one along. With my back there's no way I could sleep on the floor.

Wow.... great song choice.... what about that with a bridge into "Asking Around"? Maybe it wouldn't work, but I think it would be cool.

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

Hey George!! My double wide is big enough!

Tom..the river isn't on my property, it's the Susquehanna, a BIG river. We do have an island with a cabin and a river house, but we'll be fine w/o using them. Spider, I have two extra bedrooms, so you get a real bed! I have a bad back and understand!!! My living room is large w/loads of space for inflatables. There's also the neighbor's house, they're at their house in Colorado.  (Big log home on my "lane"), and my sister-in-law's a few miles away if needed. There's no sense in spending money on a room you won't use.

Shreddy, a vet wouldn't make it up my drive. We'll work out all the details in the coming months. And, I have central air, and three bathrooms (four if Jimmy's not home), enough linens, and access to air beds. So, we'll make it work because that's how big families roll!!!    Cathy

Pretty sure BDS has canceled

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

Ahhh Cathy, you're a sweetheart! smile

I'm bringing an air mattress myself and will make no claim on any real beds - save them for folks with bad backs who need the support and for folks who are flying in and have limited space in their baggage.
