Re: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live

I hope the DVD says which night the performances are from.  I thought HTCT was a killer song to open with...honestly the BEST opener!!!  It was one of my favorite concerts seeing these 2 guys together after all these years...when the lights went down, I didn't feel like I was in a big arena at all, let alone MSG.

And if I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times...it still blows my mind that Joe Bonamassa is the main artist that ever covered this song, no one else really ever brought this song to the forefront after Blind Faith.  So, 35 years after it was recorded the classic riff and song are covered by Joe...just awesome!!  And, honestly I love both versions, growing up with the original and loving Joe for showing such respect to a classic...for what its worth!! cool

Can't wait for the DVD to arrive!

Seen the concert on BBC4(fast becoming my fav TV channel, be it music, or interesting documentries) the other after watching Blues Brittania, and Blues from the BBC.

Was a great show, highlight for me was Voodoo Chile/d(not sure which one) Blues that they played.

I will be buying the DVD or Blueray of this as soon as I see it smile

Re: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live

Bought the CD of this today.  It is awesome.  I am so bummed that these guys are not playing anywheres near Boston this summer.  I saw Stevie twice when he opened for Tom Petty (now those were some great concerts), and would love to see him again.  Have to hope they might do this again later in the year.

Too bad they didn't sell the CD/DVD as a combination.  I'll have to hint around to my kids to buy the DVD so Mom can "borrow" it. smile

Re: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live

Picked up this cd yesterday. Fantastic. Great to hear the live Blind Faith and Traffic songs especially.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

Re: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live

After watching the blu-ray, I must say this was amazing. Clapton plays with such fire and is on, and Winwood was just amazing. Great song choices, great audio, the video was crystal clear. It's going to get a lot of spins on my player.

Clapton and Winwood work so well together. I really hope that this leads to a studio collaboration. They could do some amazing work.

Hey Deezer, I have a Blu-ray question.  I haven't gotten a Blu-ray player yet, but I figure I will sooner or later.  Can I play a Blu-ray disc on a generic DVD player and get acceptable (DVD) quality?

Re: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live

You cannot play blu-rays on a dvd player. However, you can play your dvd's on a blu-ray player.
