It may be worth checking where you got the ticket as Ticket Scotland website shows the following:

Joe Bonamassa show at The HMV Picture house will be on 5th December not 22nd December as some tickets /adverts may have.If you have tickets for this show please return to point of purchase for new tickets.

I'll be getting my ticket on payday smile

Same here! Cant wait !! Gonna be a long long long wait for the gig!

Re: HMV Picture House 5/12/2009

Got my tickets for the Edinburgh gig several weeks ago direct from the PictureHouse.  This place only holds about 1500, so, if your thinking of going, I wouldn't hang about.

Greenose, now I know why you asked about the date on my tickets. I wasn't aware of the discrepancy in dates. Hope everyone who's already got tickets checks them.

Re: HMV Picture House 5/12/2009

Should be great. This should be a good year for music in Edinburgh with Ry Cooder/Nick Lowe and Joe B. Not forgetting Bruce Springsteen in Glasgow too.

I have my e-ticket but somewhat bemused by having to pay £1.65 for it

IF you are fortunate enough to stay locally to the Picture House, or know someone who does, you can get your tickets from the box office with no booking fee added. You'll get them at face value but you'll need to pay cash. Only problem with this is that it's only open between 12-2 Mon - Fri and 12-4 on Saturdays.

The fees/charges added to tickets by some agencies because you buy them online or pay by credit card, appears to be getting out of hand these days. A friend of mine didn't go to Joe's Glasgow show because he refused to be ripped off by extra charges that took a £20 ticket nearer to £30.

BiH82, if you fancy listening to some live music on the Saturday afternoon, while your down, you could do a lot worse than visit Bannerman's in the Cowgate. It's about 15 - 20 mins walk from the Picture House cutting through the Grassmarket. The resident band play from about 4:30 - 6 pm. A pleasant enough way to pass a couple of hours and have a few beers.

Good suggestion, payday is Wednesday for me, so I may go and get tickets then, maybe for the Answer too as they play there in November. Bannermans could be a decent meet up point on the day! smile

Re: HMV Picture House 5/12/2009

Bannermans?-is that a traditional pub or a chain, a la wetherspoons? Not that it'll make much difference!:D

Come on you Blades!

Re: HMV Picture House 5/12/2009

Idolbone, Bannerman's isn't part of a chain but, as you rightly say, it doesn't really matter, does it.

Yeh i could go for that.A few drinks before the show

Re: HMV Picture House 5/12/2009

Thanks to BBJ's suggestion I got my ticket from the Picture House just now. He was correct, no fees, just the straight £22. I did have to wait for someone to appear for a few minutes, maybe it was a chance of "when you gotta go..." lol

Can't beleive how many posts we have on this gig already, if anyone else is reading this you should consider coming up to the last date on Joe's 2009 calander smile
