That blues britannia program is really interesting! I watched it the other day when I was off work. Made an hour whip past! There is a blues program all about Peter Green somewhere that is like an hour and a half long, that was incredibly good! I'll try and find it.
*much swearing later* I think they have taken it off the iplayer!! couldn't find it anywhere
No problem I was looking for something to have on in the background to get me through exam revision, and these helped loads, plus introduced me to a couple of new artists who I'll look into now

Thanks Fiona, BBC 4 have come up with some really good music programs lately. The head of programs should be given a slap on the back

Just from the Jools Holland programme I liked Cassandra Wilson - never heard of her before, but that song she sang was lovely , Buddy Guy, who I have heard of but haven't heard any of his music (or might have done but just didn't realise it was him), and Taj Mahal and Bo Diddley
After exams are over (for which the revision isn't going too badly thanks, two more days til they start so a lot of cramming in those two days I think!) on Thursday, I'll have time to properly look for more of their work and probably buy some cds too
Have you caught anything of Seasick Steve?
Yeh I heard of him about a year ago, thought he was brilliant! Bought my dad a Seasick Steve cd for his birthday, and now he likes him too I think he's playing at Reading and Leeds festivals again this year!

Yeah I watched a few of these programs with my dad. There was a good little Jeff Beck show in a small venue on BBC iPlayer not long ago aswell.
Good luck with your exams, I have Maths GCSE tomorrow and English Literature on tuesday but I find it so hard to revise with my guitars just 2 feet away
Have you heard any of Cassandra's music before?
I'm studying history - my four exams are on Post-Communist Russia, France 1945-2002, the Arab Policy of France from Napoleon to De Gaulle, and Women's Lives in the US and Britain 1800-1939. Interesting topics I think, but I think the exams will be tough! And I had a dissertation to do as well - so I did 10,000 words on the reforms on Peter and Catherine the Great of Russia. Intense stuff
Mayercaster - I know what you mean, I don't play guitar, but getting carried away listening to music, especially watching the artists on programmes like these ones! It's good as background noise though Good luck with your exams too - I remember my GCSEs (ha that makes me sound so old, I'm only 21, honest lol!), loved English literature, wished I'd done history and english at uni, but I'm finishing on Thursday, so a bit late to change now
