Leave it late and you could halve the cost I've just been quoted, which was £519 pp

You might even see a few of us New Yawhkuhs there. Mapquest says 5 hours 13 minutes drive time from my home. I'm glad it's on a Saturday!!!

Major Tom to ground control...

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

If I can get that weekend off from work I will be there.  It's only an 8-hr car ride!  Already have 2 co-pilots lined up!

Tom, pick me up on your way south. Or I may just toss a bed roll on the back of the bike and enjoy the ride.

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

Thansks for that:) the package would be in excess of £1000 which try as I might I cannot justify. Shame as its a great line up should be a lot of fun.

Well after my first reply without hope of going. I might now actualy make this big_smile:D

I will see Joe with Ryan McGarvey the week before and this would make one great cherry on top of a summer that is already looking to be a good one. I'll cross my fingers and hope this works out. cool

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

I'm 90% sure I'm coming also.....if someone could buy my ticket now, I'll send them a check...if I dont make it, you can give it to someone else who wants to go....I'll keep an eye on the airline specials, and the days to fly in and out....I may want to take in some of the east coast and visit some forum buddies and watch some baseball games too smile

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

This sounds like it´s a) going to be a killer festival, b) a big forum meeting and c) maybe a little After-RAH-get-together?!
3 reasons for me to put a lot of efforts in being there. big_smile

I forgot we had 2 HAB threads going here.  Just bumping this one for those who may have missed it, and before it gets lost.  That is all.  Oh, and I can hardly wait! big_smile

I can't wait either!! It's looking more and more like I'm going to make it! This is looking like a fairly large forum gathering... as well as a HUGE blues-rock legend gathering.

Re: Hot August Blues Festival

Since it's starting to look more and more like this will be another major Bonabuddy meet-up - I'd like to float an idea and see how much interest there is.

On the following day, Sunday Aug. 16, The Goddess will be playing in Vienna, Va. at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap with Taj Mahal. I'd love to catch that show too, but it would obviously be much more fun if there was a group of us going. Any takers?

Of course you can trust in me, Günther! big_smile

I'll be trusting in Cathy and she'll either be trusting her memory or the Tomtom. tongue

Delighted to hear that you'll be coming! May I ask how many ladies you'll be bringing with you? cool
