Topic: Dailey C-Series and '65 Fender Bassman Demos

Hello everyone here's some of my other amps being run through their paces.  I didn't add these to the other thread because they are not really JB inspired like my main rig is.  Just some assorted amps that I like to mess around with from time to time for different tones.  I'll probably get the Strat going for another main rig demo, a slide demo with the SG, and maybe give the Maz 18 and Hiwatt a workout as well.  Hope you enjoy! big_smile

Re: Dailey C-Series and '65 Fender Bassman Demos

Hi ,once again some nice demos

Liked the bassman ,classic!!and the Daily has a sound of its own, hard to determine
what its like some times I thought marshall then Engl then it sounded like my
old ac3o with treble booster? nice!!

I,m  still working out how to fund the ceriatone hrm I would need to sell my fender HRD
to fund it which means I would not have my gigging setup and the Jubilee doesnt make it
on its own for the stuff I play. my brother has built a couple of amps so if he can loan
me one of his then it might be doable , but the ceriatone hrm does look quite complicated
to build but I am an electrical engineer so would look forward to the challenge
Once again keep the demos coming        If you do the ceriatone again I would like to
hear it with a strat
                                          cheers Derek

Cool guys!  Yes SOFTMC I'll do a Strat demo for you as soon as I can.  The HRD is a cool amp no doubt with great cleans but you will never miss that amp again when your Ceriatone arrives.  The Cleans and Overdrive are just stunning.  I didn't know you are an electrical engineer, that's cool then give it a shot if you are handy with that kind of thing.  Between Nik's emails and the forum support you could probably work your way through it.  I think the 50w HRM would be a great match with your Jubilee head.  Hey Geko, I would like to hear what YOU do with your Bassman!  I love those old amps, they are just so toneful!  Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Re: Dailey C-Series and '65 Fender Bassman Demos

IMO, the Dailey/fulldrive/dd6 covers all the bases on it's own. You're getting a killer Joe tone just with the one amp. Lots of versatility too (good metal tone).

The Ceriatone would be my second choice on it's own. I don't really think the marshall adds that much to either amp (but that's just me smile ). The bassman sounds cool too.

Great playing by the way!

What's the volume level like, I can hear the strings, which makes me think that you're getting that tone at a pretty low volume level.

After hearing that, I wouldn't be surprised if you see Joe playing a Dailey soon tongue

Yes the Dailey, DD6, and Fulldrive covers a lot of ground.  The problem with the Dailey is that they are not made anymore.  They are very rare actually.  It's a good all around amp, lacks a little midrange and bite by itself but good for inbetween clean and lead sounds.  The Fulldrive fills in the mids nicely.  The volume on the clean setting was pretty low, but the overdrive sounds were well above talking volume.  It can get very loud!  It has a half power switch on it but it was on full power mode in the video.  On a Youtube video it's hard to hear what the other amp blended in adds to the sound.  Maybe on my next posting I'll toggle my blended amp on and off to show how dramatic it sounds.  In person it's a huge difference.  Thanks!
