Topic: Tad Robinson, Chris Farlowe, Ian Siegal : Countdown to RAH

On Monday I started my music week together with Eva listening to Tad Robinson and Chris Farlowe: the concert was labeled "night of the white soul singers". Tad Robinson, a man with a golden soul voice - is there a new soul blues wave coming??- assisted by Alex Schultz´s impeccable and elegant guitar playing. Chris Farlowe: still a very strong singer with a powerful stage presence. With him was the Hamburg Blues Band including Clem Clempson on guitar ( if he would look a bit nicer he would be guitar hero).

Today I saw IAN SIEGAL. I have to confess that he wasn´t really on my music radar up to now. So I saw him the first time and he was GREAT: cool charismatic Rock´n´Roll stage personality, brilliant guitar player, good voice, solid band. He was playing in a very small venue before an enthusiastic audience.

So the week can go on: Sunday Ansley Lister, Monday RAH.

Hi Gunter, Ian Siegal is a monster, he's one of the most captivating performers I've ever seen. Granted he is not a technical whizz kid on the guitar, yet what he plays is so powerful and he's one of the best interpreter's of Muddy Waters/Howlin Wolf style blues you could ever see or hear, and pretty good at folk, soul and country too, yet he's from Portsmouth, England! But I'm sorry, you should have spent some more of the evening drinking with him, now that is insightful! smile
