I really enjoy that vid shredit, thanks for posting smile

Re: RAH related travels, encounters, etc aka 'The 2009 Mimi Tour'

Cathy and I are alive and well and enjoying ourselves, hence the lack of posts from us wink

Tomorrow will be Cathy's first Queen's Day, our national street party. It will be a real mind blower for her, especially because she doesn't like crowds and man, is she ever going to experience crowds tomorrow.

Welcome to those of you who have already arrived in Europe, and to those who are about to arrive. We've all started our own adventures by now, building up to that major adventure that we will be lucky enough to experience and share next Monday. cool

Re: RAH related travels, encounters, etc aka 'The 2009 Mimi Tour'

Me and Renee have been having a lovely time so far. Small set back to start with a flight delay from Minneapolis to Chicago, but in the end only lost a couple hours travel time to Bath.

Highlights so far:

Mon. the 27th - The Roman Baths in Bath; An evening visit to Stonehenge with a Stone        Circle Access Pass that allowed us inside of the henge itself - very cool!: Driving to and from Stonehenge was quite an experience itself!
Tues. the 28th - A trip into The Cotswolds; Hidcote Manor Garden just outside of Chipping Campden was spectacular!
Wed. the 29th - Walking tour of Bath; Joe's show at St. David's Hall in Cardiff; We arrived too late in Cardiff to meet anyone before the show, but we had a good time, although I would agree with some of the reviews that it was not the best show we've attended.
Thurs. the 30th - Blenheim Palace just outside Oxford - unbelievable place!
Fri. the 1st - Tour Oxford; Arrive in London; Walk the Westminster area; Dinner at the top of the National Gallery overlooking Trafalgar Square.
Sat. the 2nd - Borough Market in Southwark London - fantastic food vendors from the UK, France and beyond - for a food guy, it was heaven! Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and even a peak at Royal Albert Hall.

So far the weather has been pretty good, I would say. Drizzly bits only a couple days - certainly nothing to be a bother. Great weather in London the last day and a half.

Looking forward to meeting some forum members at Dingwall's and perhaps prior at the Ice Wharf!

Re: RAH related travels, encounters, etc aka 'The 2009 Mimi Tour'

Thanks Eva, some great pics there!

I have SO much to catch up on, so much to share, thoughts, experiences, pics....I'll get on it tomorrow after Cathy has left to go home. The last two weeks with Cathy have featured some of the most memorable moments of my life....our trip to England, the show, the party, meeting so many people, and finally meeting and talking to members of our most beloved band of all time, Little Feat. cool

Watch this space.

Re: RAH related travels, encounters, etc aka 'The 2009 Mimi Tour'

What a whirlwind over our two week UK and Ireland extravaganza...Eva, thank for your Dingwalls photo...Sharon and I are in it even though Wooders blocked me out so that all you can see is my head of white hair...We stayed on the same schedule that I posted earlier on this thread...I'm very proud to say that I survived driving a car for 5 days in Ireland...On the wrong side of the car and on the wrong side of the road...What are you guys thinking?...We loved the trip and left with many great memories...Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Bath, Liverpool (boy did we ever have a blast with the Beatles sing alongs at the Cavern Club), Ediburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, St. Andrews, Dublin, Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle (Sharon kissed the Stone), Ring of Kerry, Dromoland Castle, Kensington Palace, Kensignton Gardens, Hyde Park, Princess Di memorial, Wicked at the Apollo, Picadelli/Regent/Oxford shopping, Dingwalls to meet a ton of Bonnabudies from all over the world, London Eye, Big Ben, West Minister Abbey, Museum of Natural History, Royal Albert Hall, The Joe Bonamassa show (with an Eric Clapton jam and Robert Plant in the house), Cocoon after party where we talked to Joe and met his Mom, Dad and Sister...We created many memories that we will never forget...Now all Joe has to figure out is..."What is next?" for all of his fans...It was great meeting all of you...

Joe B.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me...and, I'm feelin good

Here's our last pic together, modeling the Feat 40th anniversary tour t-shirts the day before Cathy left - http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/6736/p4240196.jpg

I'll add earlier pics here that I haven't posted elsewhere as and when I find the time.

I'd like to repeat my request to the major picture takers - please point me at (or send me) any 'decent' pics of Cathy or me either together or with others. There have simply been SO many picture links posted that I've lost track. Thanks. wink
