Topic: Greetings from Helsinki

Hello everyone !

My name is Matti T. (Mat). I'm 42 years old father of two kids (14 and 18) from Helsinki, Finland. My daughter (18) is really good painter and my son I'm proud to say is a killer drummer cool I have lovely wife and in my house lives also a stubborn badgerdog Hugo... which we all love very much !

What first caught my ear was Joes amazing guitar sound (I think I'm some kind of a tone freak..) Shortly after that I started really like Joes playing. Funny thing I cannot remember the exact spot when or where I heard Joe first time.

My hobby is to build guitar effect pedals and tube amps. I have built few dozen pedals and about ten amps. I also studied luthierity for two and half year. I've built several electric and couple of acoustic guitars.

I'm working in a big theatre as a chief electrician. Running the lights on the plays + light designing for the plays.

I'm happy to say I'll be at RAH with my wife on 4th of may big_smile Joe will also play in my home town after one week of the RAH concert. Needless to say I have ticket for that show also !

So thats shortly about me.

Welcome Mat from the other side of the pond,
Have a great time at RAH.  Wish I could be there.  You are right about Joes tone.  I think that is what caught my ear first.  His tone is unique and in this day and age when the record companies are churning out songs from artists that all have a very homogenized sound, it is refreshing to hear something new.  Thats the main reason I liked the early seventies music.  Groups could be identified by their sound.  Again have a great time.

Hi Mat and welcome to the forum. It's so great that people are coming from all over to see Joe at the RAH.

I'll have to check the last posts for the meetings. The Dingwalls gig might not happend for us - we haven't bought ticket for the show. But we (me and my wife) will be at the aftershow party for sure. See You there smile
