I've got a couple threads to respond to but I wanted to make this thread first, celebrating my graduation to Bonametal or "Big Cheese" status as I like to call it.

I'm not really one for lengthy posts, but it really has been an incredible experience so far. I've met some of the nicest people this world has to offer and can only hope that in time I'll be able to give back to them as much as they've given me. You know who you are wink

As far as Joe goes, within my first couple weeks here I'd grown from occasional fan to Bonamaniac. It really is a nurturing environment (granted cyberspace environment) for the love of music to grow that is filled with those who have been 'doing' music-so to speak-for their entire lives. They've proven to be ready and willing to impart their knowledge upon those of a younger generation like myself, which I can't appreciate enough. I wanted to find a place to get into Joe's music, develop musically, and make connections with those of like minded interests, and this is certainly the place.

Looking forward to the next milestone.

Danny!!!!  Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat???!!!!  How did that happen???!!!!  And WHY didn't you tell me..... I can remember so CLEARLY you telling me last year (how can it have BEEN a year???) that I was a 'big cheese' and that you wanted to be a big cheese too.  LOL!!!  Didn't I decide that we should call you "Little Big Cheese"???  I think it suits you. 

You KNOW, as do most people on this Forum, how I feel about you.... Danny, my very special friend.... who I share Joe with, and so much more.  Danny, who I chat with and go to shows with.... and laugh with.... and learn from..... and teach.  You are very near and dear to my heart.  Do you remember how I KNEW that it was YOU..... at Doheny last year??  How, out of all those 1,000's of people.... I FELT that that young man in that green T-shirt just might be Danny...... and I was RIGHT.  We were connected then, and we still are.  I hope we are for a LONG , LONG time to come. 

Funny..... I was just imagining this very morning..... how I might attend your WEDDING and other important events which will happen in your young beautiful life.... somewhere WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY down the line.  Meanwhile, I'm just happy that you were here, when I was here, and that we bonded.  Danny "Little Big Cheese", my dear, darling friend, whose boundless energy and enthusiasm does my soul SO much good.  smile

Danny I'm glad you have found a stand up guy like Joe as a role model for young folks such as yourself. There are so many dirtbags around.  Congrats and here's to another 1000 posts!

Ahahaha I apologize, but if you recall I had some dancing to do last night! It was a BLAST by the way.

God knows how you knew it was me Libby, I just remember seeing the figure of a woman hiding behind a dually named Joe Fan...oh and how horribly red I was! wink

Little Big Cheese suits me though, and now I can put it in my signature. Granted it's a little deceiving since the 'Little' will have to be in terms of age, not height, but hey, it's works.  smile

There are currently 23 Bonametals with two on the horizon.

Eva I've got video of 3 performances that I've yet to upload...the National Anthem, which was cool but I wish the second performance had been tapped, it was much better the second time around once I got all my butterflies out. The remaining two are me playing with the school jazz band, once at the Irvine Jazz Festival, once at a rehearsal with a clinician.

I've got the Reno Jazz Festival, San Clemente Jazz Festival, the CHOC Festival, and the school performance all coming up in these next couple months. All except Reno will be filmed, and I'll get to solo on all three, so I'll make it a point to upload those, even though it'll be the same songs smile

So as part of the club do we like...get T shirts or something? tongue
