Re: Little Trouble with my rivera fandango

Are the Tubes seated fully into their sockets?

Are there other electronic items in the room? Computers, etc.? There could be some "interference" happening.

Sometimes dirty Input and Output Jacks, or Potentiometers can make noise from dirt and dust.

Even brand new Tubes can be bead. Ditto for Solder Joints. There could still be a cold/broken solder joint, even though the amp is new. Especially after shipping.
Sometimes, there's even a bad part. A bad resistor or capacitor, etc. Not as common, but it does happen.

Is the speaker wire fully connected, at both ends?

Is there a ground lift switch? If so, try it's center position, first. Then, try up and down positions.

Re: Little Trouble with my rivera fandango

I tried out for a band once in some warehouse with my Rivera, and was getting weird radio frequencies or something. Once I left, I couldn't duplicate it. Was the weirdest thing.

Re: Little Trouble with my rivera fandango

I usually find that happens when there is a ground issue.  If you isolate your amp from other ground sources (computers, tv's, radios on the same circuit) it should stop.

Re: Little Trouble with my rivera fandango

PS - Almost forgot.  I've cut down on all noise from now using an isolated power conditioner.  I never get any electrical noise or frequencies w/ all of the mentioned stuff plugged into the same circuit.

Re: Little Trouble with my rivera fandango

Make sure you have a good ground. Tubes going bad is often a huge cause of noise.
If your cable is shielded at one end make sure that side goes into the amp and not the guitar. It will reverse the effect and act as an antenna.

Make sure your guitar is shielded well too.
