Topic: New DVD from Lynyrd Skynyrd from Rockpalast.

Rockpalast just released a new Lynyrd Skynyrd live DVD from 2 live shows they recorded.

First part is a live show  from the Loreley Festival in 1996. Brilliant quality and very good show. The original TVshow is on it.

BUT WAIT:

The 2nd part is a live show in Hamburg in 1974 containing 3 songs: Working for the MCA, Free Bird, Sweet home Alabama in the ORIGNAL LINE UP!!
- Ronnie van Zant, Ed King, Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, Billy Powell, Leon Wilkinson and Bob Burns!!

Very rare to see the old line-up playing together.

Great DVD!

What do you mean  by  common mistake?

I know Leon is dead, but not in 1974 at that second show on the DVD.

Only that part has the original line-up as written above.

I meant the spelling of his name that's all. I used to think it was Wilke-r-son myself for a number of years. He provided comic relief with his collection of hats he'd interchange during shows. It was tough enough when Leon passed and now Billy is gone too. Prior to that line up Larry Junstrom was the bass player till Leon replaced him. Larry has played bass in .38 Special from their beginning along with Ronnie's other brother Donnie.
