Those Baja Telecasters seem to be pretty sweet. I got to play one for about an hour, a few months ago. Really felt good. I'd like to try the others in that series.

    I love maple necks, but save me searching but what is a baja tele is it new.

    also My singer has saved £500 to buy a tele as he,s always wanted one, he
    wants me to find one for him hes a big Tom petty fan, I am looking second hand just now
    hoping to find a nice condition USA tele, any one any tips on what to avoid or what to look for

Mine was new, yes. Honestly I don't know all that much about Teles, this is my first one, so I'm not really sure what to look for, all I know is MY Tele is pretty bitchen smile

If you cant play it with a Tele odds are you didn't need to be playing it anyways.  Does the switching get confusing?

Not really, I don't use the S-1 switch anyway. I'm going to replace the volume pot and pup selector pretty soon here.
