Topic: The Tallan Noble Latz Band, Modjeska Theatre-Milwaukee 3/21/09

Hello Everyone,

In addition to the African Band that I enjoyed last Saturday night, our little buddy Tallan T-Man Latz and his Band performed too. As I think I've mentioned before, Tallan is now backed by a new band made up of:

Dave Price: Keys
Alex Hamberger: Bass
Dan Frochlick: Drums

All three of these young men are around 20 years of age and really blend well with Tallan, Also, these guys in addition to Tallan, really appear to be having fun playing together. They were the band that went down to the IBC in Memphis a little while ago.

I won't review their performance, but I do have the set list that was played: The songs were:

Star Spangled Banner (Tallan solo)
Other World
T-Man Jam
Dang Right I Got The Blues (Tallan does not use the word "Damn")
Sweet Home Chicago
Cissy Strut
The Thrill Is Gone
Kid In The Region
Voodoo Child
4 U (Tallan Solo)

I recorded the entire performance, but will only share 3 songs from the night. There were 4 very large video cameras recording this show and the word is that a DVD/CD combination will be put together for sale. In addition Carl, Tallan's dad, told me that there might be a documentary made about Tallan. Anyway, here are the 3 songs and photos from the performance:

"Star Spangled Banner" (with a little Jimi on the end): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxxL2elwRDY

"T-Man Jam" (A Tallan original): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ER1mfQyKI0

And the last one needs no explanation as Tallan tells you why he wrote it. After listening to this song, remind yourself that Tallan is only 9 years old.

P.S. They're still buzzing in Milwaukee about Joe allowing Tallan to join him and the Guys on stage. Thanks again Joe! smile

Great news about T-Man. I can't stream video and will have to be somewhere else to listen, but sign me up for a DVD. I really liked his band in Memphis and am glad to hear they are his permanent. Even they were amazed by his talent. They said at his age they were playing video games. So true. Best to this little guy with the old soul! Thanks for the update.   Cathy

Re: The Tallan Noble Latz Band, Modjeska Theatre-Milwaukee 3/21/09

You're welcome Cathy.

The other thing that has always struck me about Tallan is how nice of a young man he is.  Always with a kind word and a smile on his face, he goes about life always looking up. His mom Doris is a real sweetheart and his dad Carl is really a great guy!

One lesson that Tallan has learned and mostly through his dad, is he understands each and every fan, no matter how young or old, is important to him. He treats people like he would want to be treated. I know Carl told me once that he had tried to introduce Tallan to a fairly well known guitar player. Apparently, the fellow turned his back on Tallan. Instead of Carl being upset he used it as a lesson for his young son. He told him if someday you're still doing this and have become well known, don't you ever turn your back on anyone and especially a little boy or girl. I'm sure Tallan, as he does with music, has taken those words to heart.

Truly, a young man to watch and enjoy! smile

Tripsy, I confirmed it yesterday with Tallan's dad; I'll see Tallan and both of his parents Sunday night at Shank Hall. Mr. Walter Trout is playing and I think little Tallan might have a guest appearance. wink I'll give him a squeeze for you! Actually, I think I'll print out your post and hand it to him. He'll get a Big Charge out of it! smile
