Topic: Joe do you bring your own sound reenfrocement?

I was just wondering Joe if you brought your own equipment to every show such as PA systems, loud speakers, mics, and so forth or do you have a rider list that requires the venues to have certain things when you play there.  This might be the wrong place for this but I thought it was part of your sound and was just as important as your Marshall amp or signature Les Paul.

I could be wrong but I think Joe has his own kit one lot in the USA and one lot in Europe. I know he has used other equipement when logisist do not permit i.e. the fill in shows for when gigs are cancelled. I know he had different amps at the Manchester Academey show last year as this was a fill in show.

At the show I went to (Greensburgh PA) it was not his own equipment.  We knew the sound company/people.

Bands rarely ever use audio systems they use - they're mostly provided by the sound company for a fee.

I don't know about Joe, but I'd assume he uses what the venue has - I do remember him talking about getting a new Allen & Heath board, so I think he brings his own board, but I'd guess he uses the venue's line arrays/subs - less equipment to haul!

I've been wrong before though... smile

You aren't wrong about this. Warren approves of what is available at the venue and requests any augmentation that is needed which would be aquired locally. They do bring their own Front of House console, Monitor console, Mics and monitors.

They do fly in shows so then all would have to be provided locally.

The bigger tours will sometimes bring their own PA, Staging and Lights. Arena type stuff.

Not sure if they go to a box truck if they will be bringing a FOH system or just lighting production.
