All-Original SG wrote:Lookin' good, Mandrake. Can I ask what kind of parts are you using, and where did you get them?
Thanks ;-) It will be a lot easier to build than my SRV #1 ;-)
I won't be able to replicate the lacqer cracking though...
The Parts:
Sparkle gold Mighty Mite body I found on Ebay USA (Ash wood)
Pickguard: very unusual 8 hole 3-layer white-black-white pickguard, you can't buy this!, I made it myself out of a parchment blank (no holes) pickguard by Allparts (www.guitarpartsresource.com)
Pickups: Lindy Fralin Hot Vintage Pickups I got from www.acmeguitarworks.com
Vintage wiring, pots, orange drop capacitor, switch, aged pot caps, strap pins, jackplate: all from www.guitarpartsresource.com
Pinup Decal: I got this from a German Rockabilly Online Shop http://www.stray-cats.de/rockabilly_onl … info_id=70 It's the correct one, not easy to find ;-))
Neck: At the moment I have a cheap Vintage one by www.wdmusic.com I stripped it and refinished it with nitro lacquer. But it has a modern 12" Fretboard radius, maybe I am going to replace it with an Allparts neck www.guitarpartsresource.com with the correct 7 1/4 " radius (plays better, too, for my taste)
Gold Tremolo: will be a vintage Fender tremolo with steel block, ordered it at www.thomann.de, will take a week or two until I get it
Gold Kluson Double Line Tuners, Gold Neckplate, Gold Stringtree: www.rockinger.de
Vintage Bone Nut (still have to carve it): www.rockinger.de
Strings: will be 11/52 Dean Markley ;-))
