This one's popping up a lot - and it has my vote too - Long Distance Blues.
Light and shade -some beautiful fills - a scorching solo- and (cross reference another thread) one of Joe's best vocals.
I'm with Duncan on Dirt in my Pocket, and would also mention Never Make Your Move Too Soon (Killer intro riff!), and Travellin South (great slide pickin').

Hidden Gems, where do you start?
A few off the top of my head are:
Long Distance Blues
From The Valley (short but so beautifully played with incredible feeling)
Black Night
Your Funeral and My Trial.
How can you guys consider any of the new album to be gems? Maybe it's because I've been listening to it from end to end repeatedly, but I'm not hearing anything on that album that I would occasionally prefer to skip for the next song.
Maybe I'm defining "hidden gem" wrong, but I think of them as songs that after months of listening to slowly die away on the most played charts on a one album scale.

MichaelThe only one I disagree with is Feelin Good. While I don't really like to 'dis' any songs Joe does - I have been corrupted with American Idol, in which this is a pretty popular song for contestants to do... so I'm pretty sick of it. Plus it comes off as a little self-indulgent. I'm not passing judgement here, just stating it is my least favorite song on the new album.
As a Nina Simone fan and also a singer with Feelin' Good in my repertoire I must say that Joe's version is a joy.

Interesting Topic Michael, I thought about this for a bit and the hidden gems to me are songs that Joe never put into the setlist on a regular basis if at all. Narrowed them down to three which Michael, you have two of them listed.
1) Long Distance Blues on Blues Deluxe, absolutely killer solo starting at the 2:00 mark.
2) Reconsider Baby on Had To Cry Today, another wicked solo starting at the 3:15 point.
3) Black Night on Sloe Gin, One of my favorites, love to play this on a warm summer night
driving down the road with the sun roof open and feeling good...
All the ones that you guys mentioned are great as well...
Yeah David , i think that's what i was trying to say , one's that don't get much reckoning apart from the die hards here , like a live version or ever radio played or even talked about that much , but are just killer to each and everyone of our own individual JB tastes
And it's looks like for some reason "Long Distance Blues" is well loved here and top of some lists , that is a stunning Blues tune

Forgive me, I do find navagating around here a bit dawnting. There's just too much great stuff here! 
I've just got to chime in on my favs...
Apparently some, and perhaps Joe included think that, SILT is a coaster. I disagree. ANDY and SILT are my two fave Joe disks. I saw Joe in 92' with Buddy Guy at the HAUNT in Ithaca, NY. I was duely impressed!
Many years later... I went into our local disk shop and asked myself..."I wonder what ever happened to that kid..." I walked out of the shop with ANDY and SILT. Been in love with them ever since.
These two disks, in part, helped save my life...
Prior to August 06 I'd lived with a serious opiate addiction. In 8/06 I checked into a rehab (the scene is just like the one in the Ray Charles movie) for 5 days I visited hell...Literally.
During that time I listened to ANDY and SILT. To this day I still, and suspect that I always will, love "Pain and Sorrow". It will always have special meaning for me. The same can be said for the balance of both of these disks.
In a brief meeting with Joe this past August I had the chance to relay this story to him, and thank him for sharing his wonderful gift! Each time I get the chance to speak with Joe I always ask, "When ya gonna play P&S live again?" I'll always wish to here this song at one of his shows. I'd also love to hear "Lie #1", (great lyric, great tune!)
Perhaps Joe will bring some of his older material out of retirement, till that day I will wait patiently.
The above is a testament to the power of music, in this case Blues music. Delivered by one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of meeting.

I think my favorite "hidden Gem" would definitely have to be one REALLY hidden tune.. "Mother Love" off of SILT. I never hear talk about this tune, but it's so ..it's so... "Bumpin'" lol I don't know how else to describe it..

ElectricGitFiddle ... That is the ultimate JB Hidden Gem , Love that groove in that tune

Up Around The Bend(updated version), Feelin' Good, and The original electric version of Miss You, Hate You. Imention this one because its been around so long it seems to be forotten in a lot of conversations.
I don't feel like this is a hidden gem but it deserves mention in any conversation, but If Heartaches Were Nickels from ANDY Live is just phenomenal.
Since I can't separate 12 favorites, I'm going to bring up what I feel may be 12 of Joe's most overlooked tunes... As others have listed their favorites, they are also mine. These may or may not be others' least favorites, but, as I said everything Joe puts his hands and heart to turns out to be my favorite of his. I think those who have actually determined a favorite from each studio album perhaps ought to give these another listen (or maybe first), with de-escalated prejudice or presumption, or, better yet, without prejudice-just to see what comes over you, or to see if anything "fresh" comes out of your listen.
Anyway, here goes...

My favorite actual and LITERAL hidden gem is the non listed extra track at the end of SILT...after "The Hard Way" ends...there is silence for about 20 seconds and then you get this really tripped out bass heavy 3 minute plus tune....and by the way, has anyone seen Joe do this tune or does any die hard out there know what it's called ? Bet some of you didn't even know this tune existed...This has been referenced already...I think it's called Mother Love.....Different than any other Joe tune, utterly...psychedelic !
