Topic: Newbie from Lithuania

Hi,

year or so ago read about Joe in guitar magazines, then saw New Day Yesterday DVD and can't stop listening to Joe's music ever since. Funny part of it is that I am not particulary into blues - I have SRV CD in my car, but I am more into heavier side of music, e.g. Soundgarden is my fav band for many many years... However Joe rockier side does magic for me anyway smile I am hobbying guitarist, play in local alternative rock band, and I believe this is also has something to do with my passion for Joe's music. His playing is so rich and tastefull and some riffs outdo LedZep for sure wink

I saw him coming to Vilnius (my hometown) 14th of May, and still can't believe it, tickets in the pocket already!

So hello once again, and now off to read about his gear!

p.s. is here some kind of section where people discuss how to play Joe's songs? smile

Re: Newbie from Lithuania

Geoff - thanks for welcome! I get an impression Joe is more popular in UK than in his homeland... Probably due to his "britsy" bluesrock sound. But I love it! In fact Joe is about my age, and he impersonates to me "what if" scenario in case I haven't swapped guitar to management studies and office career, and the music is tip-top what I always wanted to play smile

Cheers!

Re: Newbie from Lithuania

Hi Siaip, and welcome to Joe's fine forum. I bet you can't believe your luck having Joe play in your hometown!
You will love it. Please tell us all about your Bonabaptism when you have come back down to earth! smile

Re: Newbie from Lithuania

Thanks! First I need to push with Joe's gig promo, as local promoters count on their usual audience of blues, while this is WAY ABOVE average blues gig of retired bluesmen... smile

Re: Newbie from Lithuania

Welcome to the forum Siaip Ciuvas!

I hope you have a great time when you see Joe for the first time!

By the way I live in Edinburgh where we have a Lithuanian football team, called Hearts of Midlothian. lol
