Topic: Newbie in Town

Hi,

From another English convert.

Discovered Joe last year when listening to Planet Rock radio station here in the UK.

Absolutely blew me away. I'd not heard a guitar played like that since Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Since first hearing Joe, I've now got all of his albums.

Recently bought The Ballad of John Henry. Fantastic. Joe just gets better and better.

I've managed to get tickets to see him at The Royal Albert Hall, can't wait.

I've also been buying people his albums to give as Christmas and birthday presents, managed to get quite a few new converts.

I am another Planet Rock fan, so glad you found Joe there. Which was the first track you heard?
I first heard him on Paul Jones show and like you immediately bought everything.

Thanks for the welcome.

Nicky Horne was the first DJ on Planet Rock that I heard play something by Joe.

I think it was India/Mountain Time, which completely knocked me out. Then a couple of nights later Nicky Horne played Bridge to Better Days.

From that moment on I was hooked! big_smile
