Villex mid range boost circuit

I thought this was a bit pricey but looked cool. http://www.villex.com/stratocaster_jack … oster.html  I think its about a 6 db boost.   It also claims its a solderless kit you just take your leads coming from your guitars input jack and intstall them on the kit with set screws.  no battery and its quick.  I have a powerhouse strat that has a 12 dB boost that I thought would be nice if it had a little more juice to it to get it up to the clapton 25db circuit almost... But you can buy a new Fender mid range kit for around $70 on EBay.  So maybe I'll go that route.
