I found this ad in the lastest guitar player mag.  It claims you can have mulitple options for the wiring on a Stratocaster.  Different values, different wirings, Assignable tone controls, and a load of other features such as solderless connections.  Best of all no batteries.  I do think this is going to be in my circuit in my Stratocasters very soon when they are in stock.

I hope to god that Fender don't start fitting things like that to their strats.
I hate this whole modern circuitry stuff. I don't like that Gibson are putting PCBs in their guitars, it's just pointless as the tone is great without that.

Heck no this is for somebody who whats something different in their guitar but isn't sure yet what they want.  You can use this to find your sound and keep it like this or put in the real deal.  I think its a smart idea to get people who don't know what the heck they are doing or people like me who are lazy to start tinkering around with their tones.  Fender I'm sure wouldn't want to give people this kind of option because it would be too easy to get what you want and not pay them money.  The Circuit boards will have to wait a while for them.

ITS DEFINATELY A COOL IDEA FOR THOSE WHO LOVE TO SPEND HOURS TINKERING
      WITH THEIR SOUND MY ONLY GRIPE IS YOU HAVE TO DISMANTLE THE GUITAR
      EVERY TIME YOU FLIP A SWITCH TO TRY A DIFFERENT COMBINATION
      I WOULD RATHER SPEND TIME PRACTICING . JUST MY OPINION

My thing is I've spent tons of money already on parts and things just tinkering around with my guitars when I could have just paid one lump sum and played around all I wanted.  One of my strats has been rebuilt from the ground up 6 times in the last 2 years with different pickups and wirings.  That said I would have opened up the guitar either way to change things but at least I wouldn't have to start up the soldering iron every time.  BTW this is a new product and ACME GUITAR WORKS has always sold quality parts.  I highly doubt this will get a bad review.
