Topic: Joe is a GAWD

Couldn't think of any other topic!
GOSH....I've been listening to Joe for quite a few years now.  Just seen him last week ....only my 5th time though....but even still,  remembering how he looked and played the very first time I saw him, opening for BB King........I was just as awestruck last week as I was then!
I'm not a musician by any means, but do I have to be to appreciate the gift this man has?
I often view his website & and a fan on his myspace page.    I had joined the street team years ago, probably under a different email address.   So when I actually took the time to read this forum, I was pleased to see how his fan base has grown!  I've always been peplexed by the general public not knowing of him and magnificence!  He should be plastered all over the late night shows!  Everyone should know of his name by NOW!  GEESH!
Anyway, please forgive my rambling!  I just wanted to say a hello to you all....and isn't "the ballad of john henry" great?  I love it!

A very warm welcome countingstars!

You have the same thoughts as I have.

How is it possible that Joe is not known by all people who love real music!
But on the other hand it is growing very, very fast the last 2 years and I promise you that within 2 years Joe is the nr 1 in the blues, for me he already is since the first show almost 5 years back.

When BB King passes away one day  Joe will take his place in the blues and he deserves it!!

Welcome aboard countingstars,

Like you I am not a musician, but I don't believe you need to be to appreciate greatness.  From the first time I heard Joe to the first time I saw Joe live and now some 6 years later, I have had the knowing that Joe is destined for greatness.  It has been a great experience to watch Joes carrer blossom.  Not to start anything, I have seen Eddie Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, Joe Satriani and several others live and I have to say Joe is right up there with them.  I have seen him hold the audience in the palm of his hand and that is not easy.  Again welcome and keep posting.  big_smile

Constantly amazed

Well, I have been playing for 40 years , and Joe was way better than I am when he was 12. I am constantly amazed by him.  He is always striving to be different. The new album John Henry is AMAZING, yet so different from the last one. I get to see him at Spreckles theatre in San Diego nezt week. I am so excited.  I am taking the pick guard from my SG , in the hopes that he will sign it. It would be sooo cool if I could get a picture taken with him too. Hell, I would be honored just to shake the mans hand , and thank him for his amazing music.  All his music is good , but if I had to pick one track , it would be , tea for one. The most beautiful, melodic solo I have ever heard. It actually made me cry a couple of times. God bless you Joe.....
