Topic: Dutch newbie

Hi Everyone,

I'm Francois, 40

New member today, not the 'forum' kind of guy normally.. but you guys made a great JB familiy i just had to join:)
Living in Nijmegen,  The Netherlands with my son ( he's a bass player:D))

Guitarist  at  heart. Music is my passion...
My gear:
-Gibson classic, 2006, seymour pup's (JB & '59)
-Hughes & kettner Statesman 20w
-Maxon 808
-Boss dd3
-Ibanez chorus, vintage '83

So, why a member of the forum,
Well to be honest, Joe inspired me as no other guitarist had done for the last 25 years.
I was noodling in all kind of bands, playing 80's rock etc. etc. you know the stuff..

But never satisfied with my sound, needed inspiration..
Then I heard Joe, that's it..Finally a guy who's playing with respect for tradition, but with new edge, just new insight..
an innovator in his own right. A songwriter and gearnut and a great guy i think..

Going to see him in Amsterdam in november, can't wait..

thanks everyone, see ya..

Francois

Re: Dutch newbie

Hi Francois , that was a nice intro , you'll find a bunch load of Dutch Bonanutters in here , Once you get in touch with them ( you'll be dragged around every JB Show In Holland & Europe ) they are some of Joe's biggest fans and if you ask me along with Eva & Geko from Germany are all a bit Crazy   oh i'm laughing lol  , seriously though they are all so friendly and will welcome you aboard and you'll have fun ..... good to see you're a gear head you will love it the next section down and is that a JB LP you have , you can register it there too
But what caught my eye in your post was these few lines , never has someone new captured the essence of Joe so cleanly

I told him that we already have enough Dutchies here and that he should bugger off.

lol

Re: Dutch newbie

Hi Francois,
Welcome to the family. Just like any other family there's a lot of love, sometimes a bit of teasing, occasionally an argument breaks out but we all have one main thing in common and that's the fact we're all here because of Joe smile

Have fun....Tripsy smile
