Topic: Some Other Great New Album Releases...

Well there have so far been some great releases this year!  In addition to “The Ballad Of John Henry”, Joanne Shaw Taylor’s debut album “White Sugar” has been getting some heavy rotation Chez Greenose.

Aynsley Lister’s “Equilibrium” is another one. I have heard that the release of this album in the USA and Canada has been delayed until September this year as Ref Records in their wisdom have chose to release his last album “Upside Down” stateside for this first time this month - thanks for the heads up Cathy!. smile

The best chance for Americans to get the album is the concert at Dingwalls in London the night before Joe’s RAH concert.  Aynsley is considering touring the US later this year, although the cost of US visas will certainly be a consideration.  Maybe some persuasion on May 3rd will help in this respect...

Another great album I have just acquired is Matt Schofield’s “Heads, Tails and Aces”. I have kindly been sent a signed early edition of this album – thanks to Eldo56!  smile  It is also great, the guitar work is sublime. This album will hit shelves on 5th May, so worth picking up the day after Joe plays the RAH!

Three other new releases have hit the shelves in the UK this week, Derek Truck’s “Already Free”, Marcus Bonfanti’s debut “Hard Times” and the new release from indie blues rockers Gomez called “A Hard Tide”!  It’s hard to know what to pick up next...
