Topic: Larry Miller Band 20/03/2009

Went to see Larry last night at a tiny venue in Stratford on Avon. He put on a great show for a small but welcoming crowd. Got some nice pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mbcl/sets/ … 628989795/ . For those not familiar he is a rock/blues guitarist and singer. Very 'lively' show with lots of banter. When he gets going his guitar work is excellent, very much a showman. On tour in the UK now, I will be seeing him again at the Robin Bilston  - Double header with Sinnerboy (Rory Gallagher tribute). Great night for £10!!

Hi Martin,
Great pics! We saw Larry Miller at the Robin when he was supporting Johnny Winter. I thought he was hugely entertaining. Very good interaction with the audience too.

Larry Miller and Sinnerboy ....great value for a tenner!

Tripsy smile

Re: Larry Miller Band 20/03/2009

I remember Larry Miller back in the 80's around the Basingstoke/Reading pub scene.
Back in those days he used to joke around a lot. For example I remember him playing at
a pub called Magnums in Basingstoke and as he was playing he walked outside and looked
in through the window (still playing)! He also did a great Dalek (look 'em up under Dr.Who)impression and his Larry Bond 007 theme tune always went down well. I'm not sure if an old friend of mine (Melvin) still plays bass for the band?

Why are we here? Because we're here. Roll the bones.
