Dean won't really have any case on the V/SG because it appears that it follows Gibson's exact body specs.  It's just the two models that Gibson owns the rights to molded into one guitar.  I can see what you are saying though, I don't understand why competing guitar companies have to play these games of seeing how close they can get to having a lawsuit on their hands.  BTW I never thought that the Flying V and SG would look so EVIL when combined!
