I have changed my plans for May because of this. I'll be heading back from Europe for this. Too much great music in my own backyard to miss. This is always a great time. I will be there for sure. Glad to see it's been revived! It's usually nice weather here that time of year. Last time it was sweltering!!! Best May ever I'm thinking. Cathy

bands i have specifically been wanting to see on both of the days, bands i wouldn't want to miss on both of the days. busiest weekend times for me in May...

Wow, I'm very tempted to try to make this too... Cathy, we could celebrate our birthdays together! But before I get too excited, I'm waiting to see how much tickets are... I have a feeling it's going to be too expensive for me, especially since there are artists playing both days that I'd want to see, plus there'd be lodging/camping expense too.

This is the combined cost for both days!!
Thanks for the price report... I'm pleasantly surprised! I think I'm probably in... guess I have til the ides of March to decide, lol. My main problem will be lodging... I definitely can't afford a hotel, unless maybe there are others here in the same boat who would be interesting in splitting a room?

Bumping this thread because we're getting close to the March 15th early bird discount deadline. I need to make my decision this week, plus I thought other people here might want a reminder. I know there's been great excitement about that other Maryland blues festival (Hot August), but is everyone still planning on this one too? I was thinking of skipping it since I'm definitely doing the other one, but now I just looked at the line-up again and I don't think I want to miss it! But my biggest problem is going to be the cost of lodging... does anyone want to go together on a room? I'm here checking room rates and thinking I might try just sleeping in my car somewhere, lol...

Bought our tickets for both days....haven't checked into lodging yet but will see if we can do something to help you out Vikki. Looking forward to the lineup...hope the weather cooperates....2002 (I think) was rather cold and breezy....but still lots of fun.

I'm thinking of the VIP tickets but would like to hear from anyone who has gone before as to whether it would be worth it. Would I be able to go from the VIP section to the Bonabuddy section? I do like beer and the two meals a day is nice plus it goes to charity.
Well, now I know for sure how I'm spending my birthday weekend... I just pulled the trigger on the 2-day pass... gonna have to worry about the lodging part later.
The early-bird prices end in 1 1/2 hours (5:00pm EST) for those who may need a reminder!

Well I pulled the trigger yesterday for the VIP passes. With that they also send you a special rate at the Doubletree Annapolis. (410) 224-3150. Price is 119.00 a night which after perusing the other hotels is a good deal. Just tell them you are part of the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival Group.
