Topic: Has Joe ever used autowah/envelope pedal ?

At 3:27 on the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ23SFHDu4E If I see right Joe taps on a pedal and shortly after that he doesnt rest his toe on a wah rocker pedal. Would be cool to know what effect he used on that clip. The playing and sound are outstanding !! What a nice guy on the interview. Top quality !

Re: Has Joe ever used autowah/envelope pedal ?

Nope, sorry thats not Joe....  Alright it is Joe but the spot where you see Joe leaned over playing is just a filler used for whatever reason (none of the cameras had a steady shot on him at that time probably).  Look at his hands they are a dead give away.  The lick you hear does not match up with what you are seeing.  The next shot is the close up with his leg on the wah-wah.  Not sure though if Joe has ever really used a Autowah, I cant recall ever hearing one.

Yeah I think that part was just a bad edit - video taken from another part of the video... thats why it doenst match up with the audio... personally I think thats incredibly stupid - why are you showing me video that does not match what I'm hearing?!  It just makes no sense to me...

Yes, I think You are right. I was concentrating on Joes feet more than his hands. Please check also at 4:41 when Joe steps on something and it sounds to me kind of an envelope filter more than a wah. I got similar results today when I tried my diy Neutron Filter with overdrive.

Yep, around 4:41 he steps on the wah-wah again.  Right leg extended out...Joe is rockin the wah-wah.  He really uses the wah-wah expertly here.  On a side note, I really did love Joe's tone around this time.  It was still very similar to his Bloodline tone.  He appears to be using 2 18 watt Marshall amps and what appears to be a Fender Vibratone in the middle though I could be way off on all this.  Joe you rocked then and still rock today...Keep on rockin my friend.
