Incredible Crowds For Free Food Offer

I read an article a few days ago where a farmer who lived aprox 37 miles north of Denver had a bunch of his crops that he knew he would be unable to get harvested before predicted deep freeze temperatures were set to arive. Rather than seeing all that food go to waste he put adds in some papers offering that anyone could come and harvest all they could take. Little was anyone prepared for what was about to occur- an estimated 40,000 people showed up over a two day period to participate in the offer of taking free veggies. Many of these people even drove considerable distance to get there.
The surrounding roads and police forces were totally overwhelmed by what this caused.
