Topic: How many gigs have you been to?

I was reading this story on the BBC website about a guy who claims to have been to 5000 live music concerts over the last 35 years and has kept a record of them all!

No doubt, it would be difficult to match that figure, but it would be interesting to find out who has been to the most gigs on the forum...

Re: How many gigs have you been to?

Absolutely no idea, but it's a lot! I've been collecting all my ticket stubs for about the last 15 years to chronicle artists, dates, and venues. God forbid I should add up the ticket prices or I might seek help for this habit, NAH, never. LIVE MUSIC IS LIFE !

Re: How many gigs have you been to?

Lemme count...

16 or 17 I believe...started going when I was 13, so not bad in my opinion...that's an average of like 4 shows a year or so. Guess that doesn't count as much when I think about it...oh well! I'd be going to the RAH show if I wasn't...17!

(Motley Crue, Nickelback, Goo Goo Dolls, Clapton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Johnson, Velvet Revolver, Joe Satriani/Eric Johnson, Tom Petty/Jackson Browne, Robben Ford/Joe, Random House of Blues show...don't remember the name, Doheny Blues Festival (it counts), Robben Ford again, Joe again, Sonny Landreth, a couple local bands)

Re: How many gigs have you been to?

I really don't know!

I was about 16 the first, now I'm 55 and Joe was my last so far!! I go as often as I can to blues, bluesrock, rock shows/festivals.
That's 40 years and now I do about 25 a year, more when I was a younger and had no family. So must be somewhere around 1500 I guess.

I find it interesting that you use the term gigs.  Are you a musician, too?
