Topic: Hello there.

Hi my name is Tom and I'm 21, from Newcastle in the UK.

I have been following Joe for a few years now and I have seen him live a few times in the UK and I really enjoy his shows.

My current rig is a Gibson Les Paul classic through a Fender Blues Deville (1995/4x10/tweed) and I play a lot of rock blues but I also try to learn other genres and techniques.

I'm next seeing Joe at the Sage in Gateshead when the show is rearranged and I'm looking forward to it!

I'm currently listening to :-

Joe
Led Zeppelin
Two Gallants
The Black Keys
Ryan Adams and the Cardinals
Grandaddy
Jason Mraz

Cheers, Tom.

Re: Hello there.

Nice to meet another, young Joe fan! You will find many peers here. I look forward to your show review. Cathy

Welcome to the Forum my friend. Good to have you aboard. We'll be at the Sage too. Might have a spare ticket too as Michael can't make the return trip. Second row somewhere in the middle.

Re: Hello there.

Hey Tom - welcome to the forum! smile

Interesting that you mentioned Ryan Adams - a friend of mine absolutely loves his music and has introduced me to a lot of his stuff. He gave me the "Jacksonville City Nights" album for my birthday and I really like it ... it´s something else than Joe and Lep Zep and all our Bluesrockers, but it´s another kind of great music. Maybe you should introduce some of the (not so well-known) artitsts you mentioned in the "Other Artists" section - it´s always good to hear about new music!

I hope you have a good time here and get to meet a lot of the great people who are participating here !
If you´re living in Newcastle you don´t have a long way to the RAH next year - so hopefully we will all meet you there ... pretty much the whole forum will be there as it looks like now. wink

Re: Hello there.

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum! I will also be at the gig in Gateshead smile whenever it takes place.
You've got a pretty good music taste too. I saw the Black Keys last night here in Edinburgh, I know they were in Newcastle on Friday night, and the Two Gallants are a band I like too.
Hope to see you at the Sage smile

Re: Hello there.

I will definitely try and get to the Royal Albert Hall gig, although it's an expensive weekend from here!

However I imagine it being worth the effort!

Hopefully by then I will know the forum a little better!

- Eva I will definitely post in the Other Artists section at some point too (I already did for the black keys)
