Topic: TheGigPicture says Hi...

Hi everyone, finally got to sign up here after the obligatory period of lurking and after seeing Joe last night at the Colston Hall, Bristol. What a fantastic gig!

It's the 2nd time I've seen him but the first time I've been able to ejoy his performance properly - the first time I was working, photographing the Cornbury Festival so had a good view for the 1st three songs then got kicked out of the pit and could only watch from the fringe for a while before having to go to do some more work back at the artists area where the sound obviously wasn't up to mcuh. This was way more fun!

So, if it isn't obvious, I'm a  blues nut who does a bit of music photography (pretty good at times wink ) and plays a bit of harp (pretty bad most of the time big_smile ) and I'm really glad to be here because Joe Bonamassa is absolutely the real deal and still retains his humility and generosity!

Re: TheGigPicture says Hi...

Welcome to the forum Nigel. Glad you've stepped out of the wings and stopped lurking. That's a great job you have even if it's only part time.
There's loads of blues nuts in here and some of us are just nuts  smile but we're all nuts about Joe, that's for sure.

Have fun....Tripsy smile

Hi Nigel

Welcome.

There's worse ways of making a living smile

I love Bristol. Think it's the seafaring thing.
I like the Waterside (think that's what it's called) near the Arnolfini. Good food and beer as well.
I think the last time I was there, the Arnolfini was being refurbished and was to be closed for a long time. Is it open again ?

Re: TheGigPicture says Hi...

A very warm welcome from me too Nigel.

Enjoy your stay like we all do!

Re: TheGigPicture says Hi...

Welcome to Joe World Nigel. Happy to hear you got to enjoy a show! I can't take a decent pic to save my life, so I am very grateful to all that share theirs. We have MANY guitar playing members, but no other harp players that I am aware of. So, welcome to the Bonamassa Virtual Band....   Cathy

p.s. You'll see me edit lots for spelling!
