Topic: Queen and Paul Rodgers at the MEN Arena

I really enjoyed the show last night. Paul Rodgers was the main reason I went and he didn't disappoint. What a fantastic vocalist, I didn't hear him sing a bum note all evening.
They played a mixture of Queen songs, songs from the new album and a few oldies too. Bad Company was great and Seagull was wonderful and one of my all time fave rock tunes All Right Now.
The lighting show was awesome and the sound clear.
Brian May's playing was really good, very tasteful. Roger Taylor did a very unusual drum solo, he started off with just a bass drum at the front of the stage and then someone kept adding to the kit piece by piece as he played, never missing a beat until he had a full kit. Very entertaining. Two hours and twenty minutes. Great stuff.
I took a few vids which are very distant and shaky but I think you might like this one.

Tripsy

As Queen/Brian May fan for nearly 33 years I went to see them in Glasgow, 02, Sheffield, Cardiff, liverpool and each night they didnt disappoint. Paul Rodgers voice just gets better and better and they have really upped their game since the previous tour in 2005.  The lighting show i couldnt stop watching either and the stand out songs for me were Bad Company & Seagull as well.  I was supposed to go to Murcia in Spain to see them but forgot all about the show and only realised when i read the set list on BrianMay.com. Ah well.
