Topic: Richie Sambora

I just found a great video of Richie Sambora from 2005 at a Brian Wilson tribute concert covering City Blues. I just recently learned that Sambora is a fantastic singer... (IMHO) I think he is better than Bon Jovi. Any way... here is the video, he tears it up. Enjoy!

Re: Richie Sambora

His solo album 'Stranger in this town' is one of my favorite albums.  The guy is a hell of a player too.  Listen to the solo on the song 'Dry County'.  Simply amazing.

How funny, I was just listening to Dry Country...great song.  Love Stranger In This Town, VERY good album IMO, and I also think Sambora's voice is better than Bon Jovi's.

Richie is one of my favorite players / songwriters. His Stranger in this Town and Undiscovered Soul solo albums are among my top favourites. Too bad he settled for minimalist playing and one could hardly expect Dry County-type of shredding from him these days.

I agree.  His style of playing/singing its more in line with the blues influenced styles I tend to lean towards.

I've seen Bon Jovi live several times but I mostly go to see Sambora.  On their recent tour, they have actually been playing several 'Stranger in this Town' songs live.  I'd like to hear them in good quality.
