Topic: my little band

hey guys and girls,
wanted to humbly post a vid clip of my little trio just to show that we try out best to rock out over here in the middle of the ocean on Maui! smile We're just playin some covers (this being our take on the Band of Gypsies "They Know") for some biker friends of ours at their annual chili cookoff (unfortunately both myself and the drummer had a nasty flu at the time!) but we had fun nonetheless! thanks for your time.

Re: my little band

views jumped a lot of the video! thanks to you who checked it out! much love! smile

let me know what you guys and girls think!

Re: my little band

I think  your band is excellent, Vince - everything's right and it captures the Hendrix sound.

Good track, good playing by all ,well rehearsed , good relaxed vocals - I would pay money to see you anytime.

Re: my little band

thanks so much. if you can, please help us spread the word about our band. Being a band from Hawaii, it can be a challenge to get our name out over on the mainland and in other areas. There are more vid clips from that same show on youtube.

we also have a lot of cool originals that we do as well, but none recorded at this show. There's a song we did called "When You Used To Love Me" that I worked on and recorded awhile back with ex JB bassist Mark Epstein.

I'd wait to see us live before making that statement. Although I'm the first to admit that i'm not really a singer. He's definitely got me on that one (which is why i've always given him his due props on his voice because i wish i could sing like him!), but I believe as a live band, that we're just as powerful, if not more so, than a lot of what's out there now when we're all at 100% health. I'd have no hesitation at all if the opportunity to do some friendly head cuttin with davy on the guitar ever came around though! wink

maybe bein from a small little island is one thing Davy and I can relate on though huh? smile

Thanks for takin the time to check out the video and givin your thoughts!

Re: my little band

ok guys n girls,
so i debated several times wether or not I should post this, but I feel like if I needed help, I should turn to none other than the Bonamassa crew! I also figured that either this or the off topics section would be the best place to post as not to disrupt anything...so i figured i'd just add this to my previous post. Hopefully the moderators will assist and won't delete this thread.

My trio is entered into a contest to win a few gigs opening for john mayer (yeah i know he's not the most popular guy on this forum, but a break's a break right?) and I need to rally as many people as I can to vote for us. As most of you can probably imagine, being a band from hawaii and trying to gain exposure stateside and elsewhere can be a bit difficult. So if nothing else, maybe this will help turn some Bonamassa fans on to some good rockin' blues from out here in Hawaii. There are also a few pictures up (including one of myself on stage with derek trucks) and also an MP3 of one of my new tunes that features legendary funk trombonist Fred Wesley.

I'm also trying to gain Joe's support in this as i'm sure he himself remembers what it's like to be starting out. Please take just a second to click the link below and vote for us once a day if possible. Also, please pass this along to as many people as you can. We're just trying to get the chance to prove ourselves.

thank you all in advance! we really appreciate it.

Re: my little band
