Topic: Allman Brothers 40th Anniversary

Someone on the Clapton site who visits the Allman Brothers forum posted this link.  I found this to be an enjoyable read...Midnight Rider may be my favorite song and I'm glad Gregg had some kind words for New Jersey.  Gregg is feeling better & wants to gather bands to play for the 40th Anniversary, a different opening act every night & he's already e-mailed Clapton and would like him to bring Steve Winwood along.  I was thinking it sure would be nice for the Joe Bonamassa Band to be invited to help the Allman's celebrate their 40th Anniversary with Joe's Gregg & Devon connections, etc.  So, if anyone is active on the Allman Brothers forum you may want to mention Joe & Co. and if all the scheduling stars alingned...WOW, it would be fantastic..and if anyone else thinks this is a good idea, etc.  Thanks.

Couldn't agree more, gsj. I'd love to be at The Beacon next spring. The Allmans have always been neck and neck with Zep as my faves over the years, but they have one major plus point, they're still going strong and I'd really love to see them again. wink Seems like the only way that's going to happen now is if I cross the pond.
