If I had known at the time that Cathy would wind up asking me to share some old pictures of her mom as a gorgeous young thing, I'd have posted a different title.....which means that what was indeed intended as a 'brief message' only will now turn into something more. These pics are offered in a spirit of celebration of Liz's long, rich and adventurous life. She wanted those left behind to remember her as a joyful, healthy, pioneering woman, and to look back on her life with pride and gratitude at the slap-up party she insisted on having instead of a wake. The third picture was taken at the mansion where the reception will be held; the fourth picture is Cathy's screensaver - her mom, the Alaskan frontiers woman.

I'm not giving away any major secret when I tell y'all that Cathy inherited her mother's legs. Alas, I am unable to share the cheesecake shots of Little Miss Fairbanks on pain of a particularly nasty spell. 
(I am posting these pics and not Cathy herself because Cathy has a connection issue. It is called Verizon. Nuff said.)
