Topic: Bloodline videos

Hey...I've noticed some really cool old Bloodline videos have been added on youtube.  I would love to see some more old footage of Joe playing, whether he was in Bloodline or not.  Those brief shots of him playing in the New Day Yesterday Live EPK bonus video are so hip, and his style was so different back then.  I wish more people who had access to those old videos could post them so we can all marvel at Joe when he was so young, yet so good.
Peace.

Huh, I never realized that was a white guy singing.

Re: Bloodline videos

Hey, those videos are reproducing over at you tube - alright!

Re: Bloodline videos

An older video to pacify those people who prefer the previous incarnation.

That was from the 10.17.94 Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien show.  What a Gr8 video!  I remember seeing that when it 1st aired.

Re: Bloodline videos

Good stuff.  I figured it had to be from 1994 and not 1984 as the description says on the clip at Youtube, or otherwise Joe would have been 6 or 7 years old at the time, lol.  I'd say it's time for him to be on Conan again as a solo act.

This is a great one too!

Re: Bloodline videos

Wow!! Thats amazing... Joe pretty much had his style down by then at age 18!!!!!!  That's just amazing.  His tone is awesome too... well, come to think of it, his tone is always awesome.

Re: Bloodline videos

Excellent video.... wonder if any vid of Bloodline "Since Your Gone" is kicking around... Time to dig that Bloodline CD out for another listen.. Yup 1994 is when the CD was released and of course Berry Oakley Jr was born shortly after his dad's tragic passing in 1972, so he was 21 or 22 in this vid......

Cool, I just looked for some last week.
anyone know how the other band members are doing these days?
Thanks
Jane

Jane,
Waylon Krieger plays in his father's group. He and Berry Oakley Junior had their own band for some time after Bloodline, The Oakley Krieger Band ( with Duane Betts, Dickey's son ! ).
No news from the drummer, Erin Davis, Miles Davis son...

That was really impressive, thanks for sharing that Stu.
I am also curious about what the other members of Bloodline are doing today, that was a very talented group. I love the album.

Re: Bloodline videos

Lou Segreti, the keyboardist, is from central NY like Joe. He's in a Classic Rock band:

Love the sound clips.

Re: Bloodline videos

WOW! That 3 part special was amazing! Super spectacular playing and he was sooo young! I'm so jealous of that 54 strat. What kind of 16 year old has something like that!

I find it really inspiring to me as a young guitarist (and slightly depressing). I liked how Joe said that the way he likes to incorporate a new style into his repertoire is to find the best CD of that style and practise that solely for 2-3 weeks. Sounds like a great idea. Gotta get practising!
