Topic: Logo/T-Shirt Design Suggestions

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit their logo and/or T-shirt design ideas. We received numerous suggestions, drawings and artwork, and appreciate everyone's participation. Although there were many clever and creative entries, we did not see a design we were comfortable enough with to adopt as a new Joe Bonamassa logo or T-shirt design. We may ask for your suggestions again at some point in the future.

However, in keeping with our promise, we are pleased to announce that we have selected Wayne Todd's design as the winning entry, who will receive a nice 'Thank you' package from Joe Bonamassa.

You can view Wayne's entry at http://www.bonamassabluesrock.com/logo.html
(We will also publish this announcement in the next newsletter. Thanks again!)

Re: Logo/T-Shirt Design Suggestions

I love it.  Simple, classic.  It makes me think of the cover album for Spinal Tap.

No matter how well you know someone, you can only ever guess.  How can you ever really know somebody else? It takes more than a lifetime just to get to know yourself.  Nobody knows the meaning of loneliness.  - Van Morrison

Re: Logo/T-Shirt Design Suggestions

How about just the words "Joe Bonamassa" on the front. And on the back the words "Harleys are great...their lawyers however suck!"  Inside joke.

Stu, can you answer this?: A number of other fans have said they have had some ideas but the "contest" was over. Can we submit artwork at any time for review with the understanding it is not a contest and just for fun and a donation, in case one of us comes up with something that sparks interest?
If so can we submit them through you?
Wayne's design made me look at the goal a little different and I have some new ideas and I know others have ones they have not submitted yet.
Would it be better to just work on them if we want and not submit them until asked?
Either way I would like to say that for me there wasn't a need for a prize, etc. it is fun just playing around with it.
Thanks
Jane

Absolutely! I'd be happy to pass them along.

Re: Logo/T-Shirt Design Suggestions

Hello Stu
I am still very happy with the old style "Est 1977" t-shirt you shipped me last year (remember the shirt being payed through the crew during BB King show in Holland). During the last show of Joe with Johnny Winter in Tegelen Holland three times I was stopped about that t-shirt. I saw you walking around already, where did you buy hat, etc. The old logo still turns heads, this new one looks like a stayer too. Sept 15 Joe with BB King in Rotterdam like last year, look forward to the shirt reactions again.
Eric

How about Joe's signature on a Dunlop Jazz III guitar pick. Oops!!! that's not possible, at least not on the actual pick. But, you know what, it would work on a T-shirt.

Congrats to Wayne!

I can see the font he used was Microstyle bold extended.  With a  flame filter background.  Pretty simple and straight forward.

I'm getting my Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design - so I don't visit the boards as much as I used to. I wish I could have participated!

What ever happened to that JB logo with the swooshes and the chrome filling?  Joe was sporting a Hooded sweatshirt and never saw them for sale...

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool
