Hey Libby,

don't take this all too serious. Have a laugh at it...;)
I think we all know how funny these translators work.
But 'ramshackle of beds' for Dickey Betts is the most funniest translation
I ever heard... lol

Alex

That's what I THOUGHT too Alex!!!  But, if you think about it........ Dickey Betts IS kind of a ramshackle of beds...... well, at least when he's been drinkin'....... so I've heard...... lol !!!!

I just got a great idea........ I'm going in there RIGHT NOW and see what MY NAME translates into........  EEEEEK!!!!  Could be ANYTHING!!!!!

I'm laughing too Alex, I am...... I still felt like I needed to make SURE that everyone knew I meant no harm......

About translations Libby,

You remember mine, I'm sure cathy  remembers. It was something about cooking crows and the right wine to it!!

Everyone was laughing his head off and I was deadly serious!! But I was not offended at all!!

That's with all these different languages, you don't know everything but I'm proud to see that we understand eachother very well in general!!

Compliment to all of you!!!

Have a nice day, me too thank you.. holidays are over, back to normal life!!!!!

Libby, this children game you are mentioning is called "journey to Jerusalem" in Germany. I had a wonderful amusing journey to Jerusalem. Thank you for travelling with me.

Re: A Big Haaaaaalloooooo from Germany

OH MY! I´m out of my mind!!! A NÜRNBERGER! That´s how it goes - I´m off the forum for only a few days to finish my term papers for the uni and THEN someone from Nürnberg joins the Forum ....

Herzlich Willkommen im Forum Thomas - wie toll, dass wir jetzt noch einen Verbündeten ausm Frankenland haben! big_smile

If you like we could meet before the show in Nürnberg in November, and I will bring a TON of taped live-shows, videos and Joe goodies for you...;) Ich fahre auch definitiv nach Ludwigsburg am nächsten Tag (und dann nach Hamburg und dann nach Köln....), also könnten wir theoretisch auch eine Fahrgemeinschaft bilden.

If you see a blonde girl running around Nürnberg with 1000 flyers and JB-posters in the next months, then that´s me. smile

Hope to see you soon,

Servus, Eva

P.S.: Libby, you made my day as usual - best translation ever!!

Re: A Big Haaaaaalloooooo from Germany

Hi Thomas

Welcome to the forum! smile

Sounds like Eva will be able to provide you with all the Joe goodies that you will ever need (except the next studio album) !

Gunter, Eva,

The NEXT time we travel to Jerusalem, let's pack a picnic.  You bring the wine, I'll bring the blanket, and Andre will bring the crow........hehehehehehe.....

Andre,

The dining on crow and you trying to determine which wine to serve with it was indeed one of THE FUNNIEST ALL TIME FORUM MOMENTS FOR ME, for MANY OTHER MEMBERS, and for the DOZENS of other people I've shared the story with in the aftermath........ soon........it, and therefore YOU, will be a part of URBAN LEGEND........ isn't it all grand???!!!

(what a nice way to start the day - thanks for the smile!!!)

and

Thomas - YES, you will be lucky indeed to have such a dedicated Joe fan as your Bonabuddy.  Eva is a favorite around here - SO bright, friendly, knowledgeable, hard working and generous.  She's my Liebling.  smile  I'm envious that you get to be so close in proximity but happy that she is so close to my heart.  smile
