Topic: Ana Popovic

I just saw Ana for the first time this weekend. She rocked!  I mean it, she was really, really good!!  Wish she would tour with Joe smile

Re: Ana Popovic

We saw Ana before Joe at the Fargo Blues Fest this past Friday (August 15). It was about our 4th time seeing her and yes I think she rocks, too. And you would never know she just had a baby about 3 months ago.

Even though her set was over at about 6:30 she and her band stayed and took in Joe's set that ended at about 10:30 and I'm pretty sure we saw Joe talking to her as we walked out.

Re: Ana Popovic

Heh Heh I'd stay and talk to her too.

Tia stop pulling on my leash, dammit...we're talking blues here.

Ana is rather.....compelling, isn't she??

Seriously, Kristine and Lee are absolutely right.....this girl ain't no glitzy little pin-up act.....she rocks!!  Great slide work, great blues sense, and great versatility.....

And she's very approachable.  She stayed and talked after her show at Moondog's, even though she had to get back to the hotel and take care of her baby.  And she was literally swamped with people after her performance in Wheeling last week.  When she first went on, there seemed to be little interest from the crowd.  By the time she finished, everyone was pickin' their jaw off the ground.....she slapped 'em all silly.....

They're at home still runnin' for bells

GlitzyDitzy?  NONONONONO!  I watched her blow antoney gomes off da stage once or twice in some homemade videos.

She plays and sings like she means it.  Blues I mean!  Nice!
