Topic: Hi there, from Scotland

Hi all,
My name is Graeme, I live in Aberdeen Scotland.
I am 52 yrs old.
I am married with a boy and a girl, and have 2 grandsons.
For work i teach guitar, play in a covers band, make and repair guitars and other musical instruments.
I have recently taken on the Buzz fentien system as an authorised fitter and dealer.
I have about 15 guitars in all styles 3 of which, 2 strats and a tele, I made myself.
Hopefully i will get photos taken and show them on here.

I first heard Joe around 3 yrs ago and was impressed, but i feel in the last 2 yrs with his work ive heard, he has blossomed.

At the moment he is my favorite guitarist.

Music wise i listen to most types but prefer the blues. Modern blues that is.
My heroes are peter green, SRV and buddy guy.

I hope this introduces you to me, and should you have any questions on repairs etc. please feel free to email me.

Thanks

Graeme

Hi Graeme,

feel welcome to this nice place to hang around! smile

Many gearnuts (me included) here and in the equipment section.
So you can answer many questions there.
I also see you have good taste of music. More or less the same like mine.
Beside blues guitarists I like Brian May, Tommy Emanuel, Nuno Bettecourt and many others.

Welcome aboard!

Re: Hi there, from Scotland

Welcome to the forum, Graeme. Looking forward to the photos of the guitars you have built.

I'll have to do a little research on the Buzz Feinten system. I've been hearing about it forever, but I've never really looked into how it works.

Hi Graeme and welcome aboard. My wife's father was from Aberdeen but I won't blame you for that wink. Do you work for yourself or for a guitar shop?

Re: Hi there, from Scotland

Welcome to the forum from a third generation Scot.

A man of taste, I think.

Lots of Peter Green fans on this forum so you are in good company. Not surprisingly there is a high proportion of musos on the forum , as you've probably found at JB concerts.

(Sorry to hear they made you play guitar, maybe they'll let you play Bass one day.)

John
it really depends if your first couple of frets are out, it does nothing to help the 12th intonation.

thanks crossroads

unfortunately i've never been to a jb concert yet sad

i even missed walter trout twice when he was playing locally , thru illness sad

but some day i will see them lol

Hi Graeme,
Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will fit in perfectly here. There are plenty of players and gear heads in the family.
What's the live music scene like up there in Aberdeen. My hubby and I are planning a jaunt up North this week and hope to get as far as the Silver City.

Regards ....Tripsy smile

I've heard of a venue called the Lemon Tree. Does that have any good live acts Graeme?
