Topic: Sandy Dillon

This weekend Nürnberg was full of music - on five stages in the old part of the city there was open air music from all over the world. Today at three in the afternoon in the bright sunlight they presented Sandy Dillon - actually not the apropriate time for a night creature like her. Anyway I was going there because I never saw her live.

We were a bit late and heard her voice from far away; my friend said that she wouldn´t like to be her vocal chords. In fact she has a terrific voice displaying the whole range of vocal expression. And she shows such a powerful energy on stage that you understand how she did overcome her severe sickness.

She and her band - very good guitar player and drummer whose names I don´t know - were playing something I would call Urban Blues but also some traditional stuff. I was very impressed.

Re: Sandy Dillon

According to zero replies nobody seems to know (or appreciate?) Sandy Dillon. It is not that I feel lonely for that, but: she is really great.
