Yeah, I remember seeing REM on there...Rush should be cool. I'll have to stay up for that. Maybe with the release of the new album we'll see Joe on Mr. Colberts stage
Kind of an interesting thought, the amount of musicians writing about peace in recent (the last couple years) albums. Just one example, Robben Ford's Peace On My Mind, which as much as I...well I wouldn't say dislike but I'm not a fan of his recent album. So as much as I'm not a fan, it's a really cool song.
I've got tickets for Saturday's show at Nissan Pavilion...going with a buddy from "back in the day" when Rush was #1 on our turntables. I believe that Alex Lifeson is one of the best underrated guitar players out there, and Geddy and Neil are no slouches either. I've probably seen them 15-20 times and always a great show. Can't wait!

Be sure to take pictures! I love seeing those goofy Les Pauls Alex plays
Ha, Alex's roadies are still doing the Barbie Groupie thing by his pedals...

Goofy ... Goofy.. I'll buy one tomorrow that you very much but you still need a hard tail for the bottom end. I hear the Trem works best on the Custom model due to the extra weight all that mahogany give it. He has the heel smoothed out on his Les Pauls too ... lucky git.
anyway... Rush rock.... Hard
Colbert is nuts! That life line he used because his stool is so high is the best.
Haha I was going to mention the fact that Joe would have to wait by while Colbert runs around the studio giving people high fives but I wasn't quite sure if he would do that for performances like he does interviews...
..how could I have doubted you Stephen? Forgive me...!

Stoked for this! Two songs released in 2010 of course, Caravan and BU2B.
Looks like the fanpack is the only option for a UK resident who doesn't want to wait until the general UK release on July 9th though. Ah well, fanpack it is!
thanks Fletch, will have to try and stay up past my bedtime. Very strange, I had a Rush attack this morning and just had to share it on the 'what are you listening to now' topic. And a new release, even better news.
stayed up for it and got Michelle Obama, no Rush.
Got my D.C. tickets, can't wait! The three songs that you can find on youtube are awesome, best stuff I've heard in years.
good stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCMq6_vE … re=related

UK & European Tour announced - a year in advance!!http://www.rushisaband.com/blog/2012/05 … -announced
What the hell is the deal with those ticket prices?!
When I saw them in 04...I thought £40 was bad enough.
Damn...
Gotta agree Brack, a year in advance is taking the p*** and if you want decent seats you will have to order now. I will give them a miss this time round.
well i wont be happy when I press that button to order my tickets - but at least with Rush you get good value for money imho and Ive been going to see em since Newcastle City Hall in 1977 so I'm not gonna give up now. Just need to find that moment to tell Mrs Dave how much is going on the credit card!!
HUGE Rush fan here!
I still have my t-shirt from seeing them in 1978 for the tour of Hemispheres - but it's a little tight now!

I used to play in a three piece band and we did La Villa Strangiato - this was back in the late 70s and early 80s - and the entire crowd would have that "huh?" look on their face - but there was often one guy in the crowd crapping his pants as he recognized what we were doing.
Nothing like a little artistic self-indulgence!
