Topic: new John Mayer live DVD/CD is killin'

I just bought the DVD of the new John Mayer live release and I reccomend it to all blues fans.  It features an acoustic set of JM originals and a cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallin', a set of his later blues/soul influenced tracks from the album Continuum, and a set with the John Mayer Trio (with Steve Jordan and Pino Pallidino) playing blues classics like "Everyday I Have The Blues", his own original shuffle and slow blues tunes and Hendrix's "Bold As Love" and "Wait Until Tomorrow".  He begins his slow 12/8 blues original "Out of My Mind" to a large explosion of applause, which inspires Mayer to make a short speech about how amazing it is that the blues gets a large applause in 2007, proving it is alive and well.

The DVD or CD "Where The Light Is: John Mayer live in Los Angeles" is HIGHLY reccomended.

I'll be getting it.

I'm sure it will be AWESOME. Who Did You Think I Was? is one of the best original blues songs written as of the last couple years (outside of JB music). IMO

When I first heard Try! I thought there were 2 John Mayers on the music scene! Little did I know the pop prince had had mojo all along!
