well this really isnt blues related at all but if you like good music you may be interested. robbie fulks is a country artist.  like a real one, not the pre packaged bs.  anyway im not his number one fan by any means but he was playing a show in my hometown and i like to see what i consider timeless music when i get a chance.  so anyway it was just him and an acoustic guitar and man it was a good time.  i had only heard a few of his songs the man is actually a serious serious guitar player i thought it would just be simple but good three chord acoustic country but it was so much more.  what a song writer.  great sense of humor, so confident in front of a crowd.  this was the only time in all my concerts i have ever seen some one where you could just tell they werent saying the same thing to every crowd.  he told tons of stories about springfield  and his travels kids etc it was one of those shows with a guy whose been around awhile and knows a story sort of like bb king.  anyway he also took requests which is always impressive to know an artist can play his entire album catalogue.  a guy even yelled hey robbie tell us about your guitar and he went on to tell us all about his guitar (a 1960's martin given to him by his father).  so anyway it was a fun show without leaving town and if he comes to your town i highly recommend seeing him.  it was just great to see him smiling through the whole show after achieving about no commercial success after playing for over 20 years, he is still doing it because he loves it.  that is what im talking about when i say not selling out, and it is refreshing to see that even though some people like to say it, not everyone sells out when they get the chance.
