Topic: fotopete's photo/newsletter

Hi everyone! Thanks for the newsletter Stu and I have to comment on the photo of Joe's foot on the pedal. I LOVED IT, fotopete. I know sometimes I am too think outside the box and maybe it's because I have a liking for shoes, but after the first ten seconds of looking at that photo the only thing I could think of was:

OLYMPIC GUITARIST ENDORSES NEW BALANCE

For what it's worth, I sent an e-mail to new balance, I'll let you know if they write back. Fotopete, when you get a chance, can you e-mail me? Thanks and I hope my daydreaming caused you all to smile!

ok  ....   I'll share the story of the shoe. This one's for my friend.

Toad's place, school night show, walked town, smoked a corn cob and got locked in Yale school yard. 
(had to wait till a student opened gate to let us out)

Anyway was photographing show and ..... well just wanted something different. So I started shooting Joe's shoe.
Why?  Beats the hell outta me. Maybe I was thinking of working a sponsorship with new balance.
I mean I work those deals every now and then.

So ten minutes after I shoot some frames my buddy Dennis (Joe's tech guy) comes by and wants to shoot
a pic or two. I hand over my cam then we start chatting about the sneaks. 

He then tells me ... "Joe say's it's all about the footwear"

We chuckle and I showed him the pics I just took.
We hugged ..... naw I'm only kidding, we laughed at the moment.

Dennis went back to Joe's guitar and I took more pics.

and now - you have the rest of the story.

hey pete- Thanks for the reply and the humor. My hubby's line of work has a connection to new balance so I wanted to forward the photo to them.  They have a newsletter... and everyone needs good tunes when they work out in their new balance sneakers...just another way to spread the word of good music...stomp the blues away...  I have no intention of selling your photo or anything, but if you would like to share it, e-mail me. And, do you have another shot that takes in the whole profile of Joe playing guitar and stepping on the pedal with the N on the sneak showing? Thanks.   angela@bonamassabluesrock.com

If we work and get "New Balance" paid sponsorship - how many will show up at concert with New Balance shoes.

I used to own a pair of New Balance. If they sponsor Joe, I'll spring for another pair and wear them to the next show.
